The Consumer Protection Act, 2019 establishes a three-tier redressal mechanism:

  • District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission: claims up to 50 lakh.
  • State Commission: claims between 50 lakh and 2 crore.
  • National Commission: claims above 2 crore.

Consumers can seek remedies for defective goods, deficient services, unfair trade practices, misleading advertisements, and e-commerce grievances.
Reliefs include refund, replacement, compensation, product liability, and discontinuation of unfair practices.
